Motorbike Ride in Valuation Day at Jurby
Specialist motorbike auctioneers Charterhouse, who are also the Classic TT Official Auction Partner, are once again holding a free valuation day for classic, vintage and race motorcycles along with enamel signs, trophies, brochures and other automobilia on Sunday 26th January at the Isle of Man Motor Museum, Jurby, for entry into the Classic TT Motorbike Auction in August.
“Our last valuation at Jurby in November turned up some cracking motorbikes which were entered in the Classic TT auction.” Commented Charterhouse motorbike specialist Matthew Whitney. “Some bikes were ridden in and some came on trailers. Such was the popularity of the event over £200,000 of motorbikes were consigned for the auction on the day”.
Motorbikes consigned range from sports, race, vintage and even motorcycle combinations estimated from £4,000 to £60,000. In addition, automobilia was also entered which included two Isle of Man TT trophies from the 1920’s valued at £300-500 each and a Thornycroft Car silk armband which raced around the island in 1908 valued at £200-300.
Valuations will be carried out all day on Sunday 26th at the Isle of Man Motor Museum with no appointments necessary. Charterhouse staff will be on hand to value, help and advise clients on selling at the Classic TT Motorbike Auctions being held at the Classic TT paddock in Nobles Park on Friday 28th and Sunday 20th August.
If you are unable to attend or bring your motorbikes to the valuation day, then Matthew Whitney is also available on Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Monday 27th January.
